Alec Baldwin has four decades of acting career with Golden Globes and Emmy Awards to his name, and he clearly proved his skills yet again on Piers Morgan Tonight. The 30 Rock star impersonated the show host, Piers Morgan, replicating a (not-so-impressive) English accent. Piers Morgan was supposed to interview Baldwin and question him about his personal life. Instead, it turned the other way round when Baldwin launched his hilarious broadside against Morgan asking Piers Morgan of his personal life.

53-year-old Baldwin told Morgan in an exaggerated upper class drawl, “I must ask you Piers, have you ever been properly in love?..I was instructed by your staff to pose this very question to you. Have you ever been properly in love?”

Piers Morgan was in a giggling fit at the impersonation and he replied, “I have been properly in love Alec, and I was about to ask you how many times you've been properly in love.”

But Alec was not quite finished with his mimicking, “The past is just a blur to me now Piers, it's all just a blur…Now is the time, now is all that matters…The woman I'm with currently is the only woman I've really been in love with…Everything else was just child's play before now. I wasn't properly in love.”

In this comment Alec as clearly talking about his current affair with 27-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, who is 26 years his junior.

Piers then decided to play it safe and tried to please his guest, “You actually do a brilliant British accent.”

But Alec Baldwin was pretty shrewd. He saw right through the act and replied, “No, not really. No, no, no. I don't, I don't, I don't.”

This hilarious exchange came after the typically bullish Piers had asked Baldwin if he has feared dying alone. Baldwin admitted that he was ready to give up on love before he met Hilaria.

“I'll have my friends, I'll have Twitter, I'll have Words With Friends, I'll have my New Yorker subscription, I'll have my table at Elio's, you know I'll have my quiet life, my quiet Manhattan life…And then right when I put it right on in the shelf and it was over, and then I walked into a restaurant downtown on Gramercy Park and I met this woman who is probably one of the greatest people I've ever met in my life.” – Alec Baldwin.
