Let’s face it – all players get frustrated sometimes. The game not going to their liking, the opponent scoring more on tennis volleys than themselves, more aces coming from the other player and for a myriad of other reasons.
But honestly, have you ever seen someone mad enough to break four tennis racquets in a row? Well, neither had we. Until this video of professional tennis player from Cyprus, Marcos Baghdatis, came to light.
Baghdatis was in the second set of his Australian Open match against Stanislas Wawrinka when he lost his cool. And along with that, lost 4 tennis racquets in one go – yep, that’s how mad he was.
Breaking tennis racquets is a regular part of the ghame and usually it happens when the game is not going to the player’s liking. The ATP also fines players for breaking their racquets, and we’re just wondering if Baghdatis would be fined 4 times for breaking 4 of those, or once because it was all in one go.
Whatever is the case, Cyprus’ Marcos Baghdatis, currently ranked as the 44th player in men’s tennis by the ATP, not only lost his cool, four new racquets but also went to lose the match in four sets – that’s game, set and match for Wawrinka!
