Obama Shoots Marshmallows With 14 Year old At White House Science Fair Full Video

President of the United States, Barack Obama channeled a young boy with awe on his face as he saw an 8th grader, Joey Hudy demonstrate a Marshmallow Cannon. Yes – cannon which shot out marshmallows.

In an event staged to celebrate and encourage science, technology, engineering, and math education in the United States, the President of the United States, invited young kids at the White House to the White House Science Fair. President Obama had also announced a plan to request funding for a new Education Department competition to support math and science teacher preparation programs. The event saw more than 100 students and teachers gathered at the White House with their projects on display.

For Joey Hudy though, this was as special a day as it was for President Obama. As the world saw through the cameras the President was very taken with the Extreme Marshmallow Cannon and wanted to see whether it worked or not. As Joey demonstrated the cannon, one could actually feel Obama’s glee (and his geek!) rising to the surface. ‘This is a little impromptu,’ Obama quipped, laughing and first adding, ‘This is great,’ then more sheepishly adding that ‘Secret service isn’t happy about this.’

As Obama, along with the crowd of reporters in the State Dining Room watched in awe, as the contraption build by Joey shot the marshmallow across the room – we were also awed. While being the President of the United States is not an easy job, this was definitely a fun day for President!
