There is no doubt that tablets have changed the way we interact on the internet. With people constantly connected with their iPads the viewing experience has definitely transformed itself. That in turn, has married itself well with the television viewing culture that revolves around sporting events. An estimated 700M people tuned in for the FIFA World Cup final between Holland and Spain in 2010, while 111M people tuned in for last year’s Super Bowl Championship.

That isn’t the only surprising number though. It was Madonna who kept her impressive Queen of Pop title up as she drew q record number of 114M viewers for the halftime performance. Madonna, along with M.I.A, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO and Cee Lo managed to put on an impressive show – barring M.I.A’s rude gesture – which NBC later apologized for.
With all those figures backing it up, it is no wonder that the Super Bowl on NBC Network was the most watched program in U.S. History!
