Despite a gruesome child molestation scandal involving the Duggar’s family oldest sibling, Josh Duggar, TLC is still trying to sell the controversial family on television.
The network recently pulled all episodes of the clan’s reality show, “19 Kids and Counting”, but the show is not officially canceled yet. As full episodes remain on the network’s site, a source close to the Duggars said that a possible spin-off might be in the works. The spin-off would focus on Duggar daughters, Jill and Jessa, and their new marriages. Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, just had their first child, and Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald are expecting their first child in November.
“The show had begun to focus more and more on the next generation of Duggars, anyway – mainly Jill and Jessa and their marriages and babies," the source said. "That's when the show got its highest ratings."
But would people honestly even watch a show about the Duggars now even if Josh is out of the spotlight? Hopefully not.
