Suraj Sharma, Shravanthi Sainath, Tobey Maguire, Irrfan and Tabu starrer 'Life of Pi' is directed by Ang Lee. Based on the 2001 novel of the same name by Yann Martel, this 3D adventure film will hit the screens this December.
It features a young boy Pi (Suraj Sharma) fighting the storm. We sight the shipwreck that separates Pi from his family, who are moving their zoo overseas and leaves him stranded in the ocean, with a few surviving animals for company which includes a turbulent Bengal tiger named Richard Parker.
Lee, whose many other honors include an Oscar nomination for his direction of “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” and whose “Sense and Sensibility” was a Best Picture nominee, shot “Life of Pi” in 3D, utilizing groundbreaking techniques to capture the story’s epic scope
From the looks of it, the 3D will probably be pretty spectacular!
“Life of Pi” is a Twentieth Century Fox release to be distributed nationwide by Warner Bros. on January 8, 2013.
