In the battle between “the look” and personality, Couture took the win as Ann Ward was named “America’s Next Top Model” for Cycle 15 on the CW. Carbonated.TV was live with the two finalists as they watched the finale and reacted to the results that they have been keeping secret for four months! This season graced photographer Nigel Barker, Creative Director Jay Manuel, Runway Trainer Miss J Alexander, fashion editor Andre Leon Talley, and of course Tyra Banks in the fashion capital of Italy and struck more than a pose. Tyra Banks faced media backlash as her prime time show was ostracized for promoting unhealthy body images, specifically Ann’s incredibly tiny waist which graced ANTM’s national promo ads. But the slim figure in the center of all the controversy took the win and will receive a career-launching package which includes a contract with IMG Models, a fashion spread in Vogue Italia and Beauty in Vogue, and a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics. Carbonated.TV spoke exclusively to the Top Model winner Ann Ward and runner-up Chelsey Hersley to talk about the controversy that sparked a cosmetic nation, their real reactions as they relived the results, and if we could be seeing these ladies with wings for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show one day. Watch the video to get the exclusive dish!
