During a concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on Monday, Adam Levine was, as many attendees put it, strangled by an over-enthusiastic fan.
The girl came running onstage and forced the singer to put his arm around her. At first, of course, he resisted, but after he realized she was just another overzealous fan, he embraced her.
Fortunately, security arrived soon and removed her.
Later, Levine reportedly admitted that he was scared by the incident:
"It's just weird to be, like, in the moment, ya know? And you're singing, and your eyes are closed, and you have this beautiful moment. And then the next thing you know someone's f*cking in your face," he told the crowd. "It's super terrifying."
He also said he received a cut to his ear from the woman’s fingernail.
Apparently, Adam Levine is no stranger to crazy fans. Not two weeks ago, a young woman managed to run onstage in a similar fashion and “scared the s**t out of” the Maroon 5 singer at a sold-out show at Rexall Place, Edmonton, Canada.
