Adam Sandler does some comedy after a very, very long time.

Remember when Adam Sandler was actually funny? Yes, the mastermind of godawful movies like Jack and Jill and That's My Boy did star in a few flicks that were half decent earlier in his career before he ran out of luck – or jokes.

But, surprisingly, his tribute song to David Letterman on Tuesday night's show wasn't that bad. You know what, it was kind of funny.

Now, there is a chance that this drought-breaking delivery of funny might have been due to the show and not because of Sandler. That's because whoever has stopped by Letterman has been extraordinarily hilarious. So, if you're thinking Happy Madison CEO has finally gotten his mojo back, well, that may not be the case just yet. We'll have to see how his upcoming sci-fi action comedy Pixels does.

But anyway, Sandler's homage to Letterman is definitely an improvement on what we've grown accustomed to seeing from him. Check it out in the video above.
