Anne Hathaway Is Stressful Over How Thin She Is, As She Talks To Glamour Magazine


You'd probably believe someone as successful and stunning as Anne Hathaway would be confident in every aspect of her life. Well, you’d be surprised! The 30-year-old went on an extreme crash diet of two small squares of oatmeal paste a day to drop the 15 pounds necessary to play dying prostitute Fantine in the upcoming Les Miserables. And now the Devil Wears Prada star is so stressed over her weight loss that she can’t stop thinking about it.

The Oscar nominee, whose on the cover for the January issue of Glamourmagazine, said that being hyper-conscious about her body is 'an ongoing source of shame'. Hathaway told Glamour that she obsesses about her weight. "I still feel the stress over 'Am I thin enough? Am I too thin? Is my body the right shape?" she told the magazine. "There's an obsessive quality to it that I thought I would've grown out of by now. It's an ongoing source of shame for me," she added, saying that being in the spotlight is partly to blame.

Hathaway added that same goes for her fashion decisions, whether she's going to the supermarket or heading to the Oscars. "I just think about the ridicule you get if you have an off day," she said. "If people weren't watching, I'd be so much more eccentric. I know it makes me sound weak, but rather than make myself happy and wear the silly hat and say, 'Oh, I don't care.'"

The Dark Knight Rises star, who married Adam Shulmanin September, confessed she's done buying stuff. "I looked at my life when I was on my honeymoon, which was gorgeous, and I thought, I need nothing," she says. "I'm not buying myself a single thing for the rest of this year."

Well, she seems to have everything she wants, especially now that Shulman is officially her husband."I feel like I've found my other half, and I'm so excited about getting to love him for the rest of our lives," Hathaway gushes to Glamour.
