He'll be wax.
To help support the After School All-Stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger is allowing anyone to join him at Terminator Genisys with a small donation to the cause serving as the raffle ticket. As a well-known celebrity, there are any number of ways he could have chosen to get the word out about the charity event. However, Schwarzenegger decided to promote the good deed in a way that would be fun for him and a shock some fans.
A Youtube video shows the makeup process needed to turn Schwarzenegger back into his iconic role as the Terminator. He wanders around on Hollywood and Highland, which Angelinos will know as the area where people in dirty costumes can make a meager living charging tourists to take pictures with them (and who will sometimes follow you to your car and threaten you if you snap a pic without paying). After surprising people on the street, the real prank begins as he poses as one of the lifelike wax figures at Madame Tussauds.
Visitors marvel at the “life-like” Terminator and quickly get a shock when he moves. After a few deep breaths, everyone in the video appears to be fine and happy to see Schwarzenegger in the flesh.
To enter the contest, go to Omaze.com/terminator where a donation of $10 to the After School All-Stars will enter you for a chance to go to the newest Terminator premier with Arnold himself. He has pledged to match any donations up to $500,000.
The After School All-Stars is a charity that provides constructive after school activities to children in low-income areas across the United States. Their mission statement says their goal is "for our All-Stars to be safe and healthy, to graduate high school,."
All in all, Schwarzenegger got to promote a great charity event and scare the daylights out of some folks on camera. Let's hope he doesn't get into his Conan the Barbarian costume next.
