Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis just recently had a baby together. Following the birth, that’s when Kutcher noticed a startling sign of inequality.
More often than not, there will be a diaper changing station in the woman’s restroom, and sometimes a locked family restroom, but is absent from the majority of men’s restrooms. This sends a message loud and clear to women and families that it’s the woman’s job to change diapers. Even if men want to help out, they can’t.
Places like Walmart and Cracker Barrel are actually on the progressive end of this spectrum, with changing tables in both restrooms. California legislators are also currently working on bills that would make baby changing tables in men’s bathrooms the law.
It's time more companies choose to install these diaper stations in all of their restrooms and that states start legislating the requirement of these installments.
Ashton Kutcher also got praise for publicly appreciating his fiancée and mother of his child, Mila Kunis. He told Ellen DeGeneres on her show that, “The most amazing thing about having a baby is my partner Mila. She’s the greatest mom.”
