Awkward 'Jeopardy!' Moment Spotlights Plight Of Poor Children

A 'Jeopardy!' contestant broached a serious issue during an episode aired last week.

Jeopardy! question: In this country more than 1,000 people were killed last year when the garment factory where they were working collapsed. Answer: Bangladesh, one of the world's leading manufacturers of clothing, where workers have earned as little as $40 a month while putting in 12-hour days. Fans of the thinking person's game show were reminded of the brutal conditions there during an awkward moment (seen in the clip) between a contestant and host Alex Trebek in an episode aired last week.
