Beyonce has surprised everyone by releasing her fifth studio album on iTunes without any prior warning.
Queen B’s self-titled "visual album," is exclusively available on iTunes and none of the 14 tracks can be purchased individually. It sells for $15.99
Beyoncé announced the album with a video on her Facebook page.
While explaining her visual album concept in the video, she said:
“It’s more than just what I hear. When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.”
She also posted a video for her Instagram followers:
The surprise album also includes guest appearances from Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean, Drake, Jay-Z, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.
An amazing video accompanies every song on the album, all of which are available on iTunes.
Its retail release is apparently set for December 21.
