Behold the thigh gap.
Beyonce seriously needs to hire someone with good Photoshopping skills. Check out the stairs peeking through between her thighs. Shoddy workmanship or is it something else?
Here’s a closer look:
The damning photo she shared with her fans, is from Queen Bey’s birthday trip.
However, this is not the first time we have seen Photoshopped images coming out from the camp of Queen Bey. There have been similar photo-editing gaffes and it just goes to show that even Beyonce has body image issues.
Remember this one?

Body image and the perception of what an "ideal body" should be like has become a modern day menace.
For someone like Beyonce, however, the lack of confidence in her looks and falling for below the line tricks to fit a certain mold does not bode well.
How does, Queen Bey, for the role model for women empowerment, and believing in yourself, justify these digital nips and tucks?

“When you love and accept yourself, when you know who really cares about you, and when you learn from your mistakes, then you stop caring about what people who don't know you think.”
“We all have our imperfections. But I'm human, and you know, it's important to concentrate on other qualities besides outer beauty.”
Remember her video “Pretty Hurts”? It was all about dealing with body image issues that women go through:
“Pretty hurts, we shine the light on whatever’s worst
Perfection is a disease of a nation, pretty hurts, pretty hurts
Pretty hurts, we shine the light on whatever’s worst
We try to fix something but you can’t fix what you can’t see
It’s the soul that needs the surgery.”

Perhaps she does know that she has a problem. Her words from a 2009 interview say it all: “I know I'm stronger in the songs than I really am. Sometimes I need to hear it myself. We all need to hear those empowering songs to remind us.”
We hope she does hear her own words and take strength from the fact that she is a beautiful woman, with a voice straight from heaven, a beautiful family and that she has a whole lot of things going for her. She doesn’t need help to make her look better.
However she also has to be careful about what message she sends to the millions of young and old fans from around the world. These are the very same women (and men!) who follow her every move and idolize her. Women need to respect their bodies and realize the unrealistic standards set by the media have little to do with reality.
