Bill Maher Takes On Republicans And Their Hypocrisy On His Show

Donald Trump can no longer talk about not letting Mexicans "ruin" the America his German immigrant grandparents dreamed of.

The ever-eloquent Bill Maher was spot-on in his criticism of Republicans on Friday in "Real Time With Bill Maher."

"New rule," he said. "You can't spend the first half of a debate bitching about how immigrants are ruining the country and the second half on the uplifting stories of your immigrant parents."

Maher exposed an often-unnoticed flaw in the ideology of each Republican. These people will stick to their abhorrent beliefs until one of their own is a victim to their flawed belief system. Jeb Bush, for instance, a conservative through and through, has a compassionate policy for Mexicans because he married one, "one of the good ones" as Maher puts it.

In his trademark style of serious criticism laced with acerbic wit, Maher talked about how this is one common point that runs through each of the argument presented by Republicans.

"John McCain supports all forms of war ever invented, and some he just fantasizes about in the shower…but torture? No," Maher said. "Why? Because he was tortured…by Sarah Palin.”
