Cannes Looks Forward To 66th Film Festival (Video)

Among the 20 films selected to compete for the prestigious Palme d'Or at the Cannes film festival, highlights expected to include films from Paolo Sorrentino's 'La Grande Belleza,' 'Le Passe' by Asghar Farhadi Farhadi and Nicolas Winding Refn's 'Only God Forgives.’

Cannes is preparing for its 66th annual film festival.

Among the 20 films selected to compete for the prestigious Palme d'Or at the Cannes film festival, highlights expected to include films from Paolo Sorrentino's 'La Grande Belleza,''Le Passe' by Asghar FarhadiFarhadi and Nicolas Winding Refn's 'Only God Forgives.’ 

The curtain rises on the two-week festival on Wednesday (May 15) where hundreds of films will be screened and twenty will compete for the coveted Palme d'Or, the festival's highest honor.

Eager fans keen to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars are already gathered outside the festival building...

Other expected highlights of the festival include (The Great Beauty), 'Le Passe' (The Past) by Asghar Farhadi, and Nicolas Winding Refn's 'Only God Forgives."

The festival will kick things off with "The Great Gatsby," a glitzy twirl through the jazz age, starring Leonardo Di Caprio.
