Almost everything we hear about teenage moms is bad. They have trouble graduating high school, much less college. They're forced into the working world early, but without an education or many skills, it's often for low wages. Relationships end, money troubles mount – it goes on and on.
But that's not the story for every teen mom, especially when you have a Hollywood career to fall back on.
Of course, being a teen mom isn’t easy but that doesn't necessarily mean that you can't have a successful career. Here are some of the youngest celebrity teen moms who are not just good mothers but were also lucky enough to break through in Hollywood and make a success out of a less-than-ideal situation for a young woman.

Singer, model, actress and Beyoncé's baby sister hit the news more recently for physically assaulting brother-in-law Jay-Z in an elevator instead of any work she's done. But Solange Knowles has a back story you might not be familiar with. Although she has expressed some regrets for having a child so young, she still calls him the “greatest unplanned blessing.”
Modern Family star and TV’s most popular sex symbol Sofia Vergara got married at the age of 18 to her high school boyfriend, Joe Gonzalez, in Colombia. She gave birth to their son Manolo when she was just 19. The pair split up the next year but her career continued to rise, first on television in Colombia, then internationally. Now she's the highest paid female actress on television and the face of Cover Girl.

Keisha Castle Hughes is the second-youngest woman ever to be nominated for a best actress Oscar, which she accomplished in 2004 at 13 years old for Whale Rider. When she was 16, Castle Hughes became pregnant with boyfriend Bradley Hull’s child and gave birth to daughter Felicity-Amore in 2007, a month before her 17th birthday. After seven years together, she and the baby's father split in 2010.
Jamie Lynn Spears
Teen Nickelodeon star (and Britney’s sister) Jamie Lynn Spears made headlines and shocked everyone when announced in December 2007 that she was pregnant at just 16 years old. Spears gave birth to her daughter, Maddie Briann. Although Spears was engaged to Maddie's father, Casey Aldridge, the two called it quits in 2010. Spears had a tough time accepting the news. "This made no sense and I didn't understand it and I was young," she admits.
