Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt lost his bet to Captain America star Chris Evans when the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl XLIX. As promised, Pratt visited Evan’s chosen charity, Christopher’s Haven in Boston, dressed as Star-Lord and even wore Tom Brady’s #12 jersey.
Chris Pratt uploaded the photos on his Facebook page, and they are definitely worth checking out! The little kid below seems a little disappointed, though, that Star-Lord came to visit instead of Captain America.
Christopher’s Haven provides housing for families with children fighting cancer at Boston’s Mass General Hospital for Children and the Dana-Farber/Children’s Hospital Cancer Center. Evans tagged along with the visit and both stars were a major hit.
"The kids were so excited. Both of the Chrises [Evans and Pratt] really played with the kids. There was no media here at all—it was just about the kids,” Joyce Duvall, executive director of Christopher’s Haven, said.
The actors’ friendly wager launched TwitterBowl 2015, a fundraising challenge for both Christopher’s Haven and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Although the Patriots won, Evans, being the good guy he is, is holding up his side of the bargain and visiting Seattle Children’s Hospital dressed as Captain America. The challenge raised nearly $27,000 for both organizations —$12,000 for Christopher’s Haven and $15,000 for the Seattle Children’s Hospital. The contest will end after Evan’s visit.
These actors truly are heroes on and off-screen!
