Some anchors at CNN, the organization that Trump berates for being "crooked and dishonest," let slip some snide remarks about the president-elect.
The CNN crew was in Indiana waiting for the president-elect's plane to descend upon the state, so that The Donald could talk about the deal that kept around 800 jobs in the U.S. (not the 1,100 Trump is bandying about.)
CNN correspondent Suzanne Malveaux, in the video obtained by FTVLive, is going through the drill, finalizing what she will say, asking for water, running a sound check. It is at this point that the conversation escalates rather quickly. A producer can be heard off screen, explaining the signals that will be given once the plane lands.
“That means his plane’s crashed…just kidding,” the voice off-screen says, as Malveaux's eyes bulge out. She tries to brush the incident away with a sheepish smile.
CNN has released an apology to the Trump transition team, adding that the producer has been disciplined for the unfortunate remark.
“An unfortunate and inappropriate remark was made by one of our producers off-camera yesterday," CNN said in its statement. "We have apologized to the Trump transition team, and the producer has been disciplined.”
