The first official trailer of the summer blockbuster Hercules starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been released on YouTube, and the former WWE superstar's out-of-this-world physique has gotten everyone excited.
The one-minute-and-thirty-two-second long teaser shows The Rock taking on a two-headed dragon, a lion as well as a wild boar, and that too just with his club. But while the glimpses of these battles look amazing, The Rock's size and giant-sized body is what stands out the most.
He actually trained like hell for eight months to achieve the muscular frame required to play this Greek demigod.
"You get one shot to make Hercules," the 41-year-old told Access Hollywood."There’s been other iterations of Hercules in the past. Different actors and different men over the decades, but we wanted to make the definitive version. And if I was gonna make the definitive version, I’m gonna put eight months of hard work in there."
Not too long ago, he used to look like this:
While that in itself is pretty impressive, in Hercules though, he is sporting a totally Herculean figure, which is what only he could do. That's why he believes he was made to portray this character on the big screen.
The Rock's body transformation has inspired a number of memes, one of which is this one:

The Rock's Hercules isn't the only big budget Hercules movie of 2014. Another one titled The Legend of Hercules featuring Twilight actor Kellan Lutz came out in January and flopped badly.
But then their Hercules looked like this:
No wonder it tanked.
