PSY’s Gangnam Style might be a worldwide sensation but Bill O'Reilly is seemingly just hearing about "a South Korean guy who calls himself PSY" and his record setting YouTube video that doesn’t seem to impress him too much!
The Fox host is so puzzled with the fame of the singer and his song that he brought in the Fox news commenter Keith Ablow, for a detailed analysis about the viral sensation on Tuesday.
"He's just doing the pony," the Fox news host said during a segment in which he and Ablow disdainfully examine the popularity of "Gangnam Style."
"800 million views of this?" Bill O’Reilly asked. What's going on?"
Ablow seemed to have not done much research about the social satire behind the video when he concluded: "I think what this fellow is tapping into... is the fact that people don't want any meaning right now." He continued, "It is just is sort of like a drug and that seems to be what most people seem to want right now. Not reality, not feeling, not meaning."
"So it means nothing, but it's got a nice upbeat to it but you can do the pony and ride around,"O'Reilly suggested.
"The meaning is that it means nothing," Ablow responded.
