A Song of Ice And Fire for gamers! While there is still no definitive date for the next Game of Thrones season.

Ice And Fire

A video game based on the hit HBO show may be just around the corner to quench the thirst of its bloodthirsty fans.

Telltale Games has released the first official trailer of its upcoming episodic Game of Thrones video game, which is scheduled for release sometimes before the turn of the year.

Instead of copying the happenings of the book and the TV series, the game revolves around the Stark’s family allies, the House Forrester. It doesn't mean that there won't be any actual characters from the books or that the storyline will be completely different, however.

A number of originals such as Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) and Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Snow) are expected to make appearances in the title. Moreover, the released trailed is narrated by Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister).

But the five playable characters will all be from House Forrester, which by the way, very much exists in the books and isn't something the game makers pulled out of their hind parts. It just doesn't get the same billing on the TV screen as it would in this game.

A point-and-click adventure game, Game of Thrones will be released in six episodes on a variety of formats, including but not limited to PC/Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and iOS.
