"Game Of Thrones" Fan Gives The Seven Kingdoms A Brilliant Google Map Makeover

If the world of Westeros existed in modern times, this is how it would look.

With all its tricky terrain and abundance of treacherous foes, navigating the way across the Seven Kingdoms in Game of Thrones is quite a dangerous task. However, thanks to one fan’s praise worthy dedication, routing one’s way across the realm of Westeros is not that difficult anymore.

A Redditor who goes by the name of selvag recently created an illustration of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy world in the style of Google Maps – the only kind of map anyone understands anymore.

Even though the incredibly detailed map does not calculate the best routes, it highlights all the possible ones. For instance, as one Reddit user pointed out, if someone wants to get from Meereen to King’s Landing, they can just jet ski across the Narrow Sea.

Easy enough.

As brilliant as the Game of Thrones’ ever-expanding opening credit scenes are – especially since the characters are now trotting all over the place – this insanely thorough Google Map version is way easier to understand.

A high quality, poster-sized, framed version of this map is also available on Esty for $21.
