Gwyneth Paltrow Hates Homework

Gwyneth Paltrow has confessed that she can't help her six-year-old daughter with homework because she's "terrible at maths".

The 38-year-old American actress has two children with musician husband Chris Martin; six-year-old daughter Apple and son Moses, four.

Gwyneth adores nothing more than forgetting her busy showbiz lifestyle and completing every day parenting tasks at home with Chris, 34, and the kids, although the multi-talented actress admits she isn't much help when it comes to mathematics homework.

"At home, there isn't any of the glamour. I am just like any other regular mum; cooking, cleaning, wiping butts, picking up after the kids, being a wife and helping the kids with their homework.

"Mind you, I'm terrible at maths. I can't even do my six-year-old's maths homework with her," the movie star told new! magazine.

As the wife of Coldplay front man Chris, Gwyneth is happy to say the family home is a particularly musical one. The star herself has been impressing music insiders with her vocal talents of late, giving live performances at prestigious events such as last month's Academy Awards ceremony and the Grammy Awards. Gwyneth mastered the guitar for her role in the movie Country Strong, and she admits she often plays around the house, usually for the amusement of her children.

"I do still play guitar. It comes in very handy at kids' birthday parties and stuff like that. I just learned to play Wonderwall the other day, so I was very proud of myself with that one," she beamed.

Despite all her musical achievements, the gorgeous actress has ruled out the chance of forming a band alongside husband Chris. However, Gwyneth has thought of a unique band name should she ever change her mind.

"No! Never! I think hell would freeze over first! So I guess if I did it would be called the Hell Freezes Over Band," she joked when asked if she and Chris had plans to form a group.
