'House' Creator David Shore Inks Deal With Sony TV

The TV veteran has signed a three-year pact after years with Universal Television.

After closing the books on Fox's House, creator David Shore is starting a new chapter with a new overall deal.

The veteran showrunner has inked a new three-year overall deal -- said to be in the eight-figure range -- with Sony TV after spending eight years at Universal Television, the studio behind House, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

With his new deal, Shore is expected to develop new projects under his banner Shore Z Productions and work with other writer-producers to create potential shows.

Shore began his television career in the mid-1990s with Traders and The Hardy Boys, before making his way over to shows like David E. Kelley's The Practice, Law & Order and Family Law.

House launched in 2004 and ended its eight-season run in May.
