Is Madonna’s Boldness A Desperate Act?

Is this the look of a woman doing something daring, tantalizing and scandalous or a desperate one trying too hard?

Her show of a bare nipple at a recent MDNA gig was not daring, it was pure desperation.

Madonna is an icon – a beautiful icon at that. She is 53 and can give women 20 years her junior a run for their money. She is still beautiful and years and long hours of rigorous exercise and who knows how many secret practices have kept her looking awesome at an age when women dread looking at themselves in the mirror.

But age has always been a demon that plagues women all over the world and all through history. Even with her looks Madonna seems to be losing the battle when it comes to dealing with her age.

Ever since she shocked the world with her ‘Like A Virgin’ people expect each of her shocking acts t o be her last one and are shocked, even if not surprised every time. It is true; Madonna being Madonna could get away with anything. She can wear clothes suited to women young enough to be her daughter be racy and raunchy and what not and still be the queen of pop!

But there are times when her acts reek of desperation and denial now. May be she’s trying too hard to be her shocking self. There was a time when she did it and got away with it. But the last few years have seen her come out inch by literal inch as a woman in denial by her age and desperate to prove otherwise.

May be she feels if she tries hard enough MDNA might actually do well? As per Reuters, Mdna is not doing that well. This is just not it. Signs of her desperate act were visible in her ‘Girl Gone Wild’ hailed by Forbes as ‘Madonna’s Mighty Menopausal Comeback!’

What of her recent boyfriends Jesus Luz and Brahim Zaibit? Brahim is 29 years her junior! Young enough to be her daughter’s boy friend! May be its thoughts like these that keep the Material Girl up at nights and make her act in desperation?
