It's been nearly seven years since President Barack Obama brought us the Affordable Care Act, but Americans still don't know much about it.
Jimmy Kimmel's crew took to the streets recently to see if random passersby knew the difference between Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act.
"Back in, I think in 2013, we conducted an experiment here on the show," Kimmel says at the opening of the segment. "We went on the street, and we asked people which was better: Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act, which, as anyone who knows anything about this subject at all knows, Obamacare is just a nickname for the Affordable Care Act. They're the same thing."
Spoiler alert: No one that Kimmel interviews actually understands this, as displayed in the video ahead.
"We're talking to people about health care today," a crew member says to the first woman in the clip. "Do you support Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act?"
"Uh, Affordable Care Act," the woman says. "Well, I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of Obama, so I don't support him and the Obama things that he's got going on. I'm actually really excited for President-elect Donald Trump."
"Right. So, you don't like anything Obama does, and you prefer the Affordable Care Act," Kimmel's man says.
"Absolutely," she says.
Kimmel's video is full of gems, but the best interviewee is, by far, the stoned adolescent at the end, who uses pretty incredible facial expressions and gives a hilarious shout-out to his mom.
