Jimmy Kimmel Got People To Congratulate North Korea On Hydrogen Bomb

If it is said in a cheerful manner, can Jimmy Kimmel get people to congratulate North Korea for something as serious as testing a hydrogen bomb?

North Korea announced that they tested their first hydrogen bomb. In response, the House of Representatives are readying legislation to broaden U.S. sanctions on North Korea.

This is a significant event that could have a ripple effect on many different countries.

Yet somehow, the seriousness of it all is lost on some Americans, specifically those on the West Coast.

Jimmy Kimmel decided to test a theory he had: if you say it in a cheerful manner, can you get people to congratulate North Korea for something as serious as testing a hydrogen bomb?

Apparently so.

Could this be a true testament to the lack of awareness of political current events or basic history that many Americans have? Or are Americans just generally agreeable people?
