Jimmy Kimmel can be anything but shy and he has, yet again confirmed that fact.!
Late night host, Kimmel strongly criticized ‘Tonight Show’ host and his competitor Jay Leno in the latest edition of the Rolling Stone magazine.
“He’s totally sold out. Leno hasn’t been a good stand-up in 20 years. As a comedian, you can’t not have disdain for what he’s done. He was a master chef who opened a Burger King.”Kimmel told reporter Jonah Weiner as they drove past the Comedy & Magic Club.
Jimmy further revealed that his dispute with Leno began in 1992 when Leno beat out David Letterman for the 'Tonight Show'. Kimmel is a well-known supporter of David Letterman; he even roasted Letterman warmly at the Kennedy Center Honors earlier this month.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live!"has now moved to ABC's 11:35 timeslot, putting the show in direct competition with Jay Leno and David Letterman.
Recently, while commenting on Jay Leno, David Letterman also told Oprah Winfrey that Leno is both "the funniest guy I've ever known" and "the most insecure person I've ever known."
In Rolling Stone’s cover story Kimmel called NBC-TV late night host Jimmy Fallon - who currently hosts NBC's 12:35 program - a “worthy competitor.”
