Last week the Internet lit up over Donald Trump’s “Freedom Kids” video, in which the clown candidate had a trio of American-flag-clad girls advocate Trump’s devout patriotism in a cringeworthy song complete with mechanical gestures and authoritarian lyrics.
With over 4 million views, the video spurred the real estate mogul back into the spotlight. Yet Jimmy Kimmel was nice enough to acknowledge other Republican presidential candidates might need the publicity more than the racist ape who has consistently dominated the news. So in that generous spirit, Kimmel thoughtfully had the Number One America Liberty Kids sing praises to Jeb Bush in hopes of getting the public fired up or at best, mildly “consider Jeb!”
The parody performance was even more awkwardly perfect than Trump’s glee club as the girls mocked the low-polling candidate’s mediocre campaign with a surprise appearance from “High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens.
