Comedian Joan Rivers barged into Burbank Costco with her camera crew and megaphone shouting in protest about Costco not selling her book ‘I Hate Everyone…Starting With Me’

Costco should not be like Nazi Germany! Next thing they’ll be burning the Bible,’ she shouted on her megaphone. ‘I know you’re trying to throw me out of your store. This is bigger than both of us. … This is private property that we’ve stolen from the Indians!

People were amused by the scene and so were the security guards who didn’t stop her from cuffing herself to a woman’s cart and yelling ‘I’m not leaving.’ The police did not arrest her but she still left the store unsatisfied. She told local station KTLA, ‘They kicked me out without giving me any free samples

“This is a store that sells 300 rolls of toilet paper at the same time,” Rivers told KABC. “And I say any customer that buys 300 rolls of toilet paper deserves a funny book to sit on the toilet and read.” Costco did not immediately return requests for comment.

Talk about publicity stunts!
