We all make mistakes but it’s really hard to admit them. Jon Stewart also made a mistake but he apologized for it in front of all his fans and audiences on Monday’s show.
Last week when the news broke the Mississippi never officially ratified the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery, ‘The Daily Show’ host had a little fun at its expense and in the process Stewart portrayed the former Secretary of State Dick Molpus as a segregationist politician.
Stewart while apologizing admitted that, “Dick Molpus has a long and distinguished record of speaking out for Civil Rights in Mississippi." So portraying him as a racist was way off the mark.
Watch Stewart’s lengthy apology with some giggles in between in the above video.
