The Daily Show host Jon Stewart congratulated his friend and colleague Stephen Colbert who won the 2014 Emmy award for the Outstanding Variety Series category.

The Colbert Report ended Stewart’s ten-year reign of terror  with their win at the 2013 Emmy’s. It was undoubtedly a huge victory for Colbert who explained his viewers on Tuesday how important it was for them to know who he crushed in the race to win the award. “As Mother Teresa once said,” said Colbert, “it is not enough to win, others must lose.” Adding, “And our victory Sunday night was made that much sweeter when you consider who we vanquished.”

When Colbert made a call to his defeated competitor to wish him a sincere ‘bite me,’ Jon Stewart himself appeared on the set ofColbert Report to personally congratulate the Emmy winner. And that’s where all the fun began.

Of course all of this was just meant for fun. There is no bad blood between the two hosts and Colbert made this clear when he thanked his “friend and brother” Jon Stewart during his acceptance speech.

CNN’s Piers Morgan on Monday, however, took to his Twitter account and tried to create uneasiness by tweeting that it was ‘over for Jon Stewart.’

Apparently, Mr. Morgan was not pleased with Stewart’s satirical coverage of CNN reporting on the Syrian civil war and posted the tweet.

Though we doubt Jon Stewart cares what Piers Morgan thinks of him, it would still be interesting to see how The Daily Show responds to the tweet.

Let’s see.
