The sad reality is that breaking up just like anyone else can be hard even for Justin Bieber and even one of the leading pop stars in the world can also feel low and down!

The 18-year-old has been through a lot lately, his very public splitwith Selena Gomez is among the downs he’s had to face. He was pictured allegedly smoking marijuanain early January; a paparazzo was killedwhile photographing the singer’s Ferrari and a report surfaced  alleging he assaulted an Ottawa woman in November from a Nerf gun.

He confessed to Billboardmagazine: ‘I'm not in the happiest place that I've ever been. I'm trying to get through what I'm going through.”

Bieber and Gomez broke up in early January and although rumors continue to swirl as to why the two called it quits, Bieber only explains, “There's so many rumors. People say I call Selena every day and she won't pick up the phone or I'm chasing her down, and these are all fake stories. I don't go on blogs or anything like that. I hear things. People tell me if something happens on the Internet. It gets back to me, definitely."

The Canadian singer was in a relationship with the Disney star for two years and has just penned a song about their unsuccessful romance called ‘Nothing Like Us’.

While speaking about his track, Nothing Like Us, he said he trusts his music for emotional release: ‘I'm 18. I have a great team around me. I have great friends. We have a blast. They keep me occupied and keep my mind off negative things. It's funny when people are like “You're 18. What have you really gone through?” I'm thinking, “What do you mean? When you were 18, you don't think you went through that stuff?”
