Justin Bieber Reaches 10 Million Twitter Followers

Justin Bieber has reached 10 million Twitter followers. Bieber, who has been nicknamed the "King" of the social networking site, comes in second only to Lady Gaga and her "little monsters."

Justin Bieber fans, which are referred to as "Beliebers," have reached record numbers, as it's truly a testament to The Biebs' popularity to have so many Twitter followers.

Bieber and Lady Gaga fans have completely changed the face of the celebrity fan base. Both "Beliebers" and "Little Monsters" have been battling each other online to be the dominate group. In 2010 the web war began, as Justin and Gaga's YouTube numbers began to skyrocket.

Each group took to the social networking sites campaigning for their favorite celebrity, trying to be the first group to push their idol over the one billion mark in YouTube views. The "Little Monsters" won out, with Justin's "Beliebers" hitting the mark just hours later.

While Bieber is a huge presence online, often interacting with his fans, Lady Gaga currently has more Twitter followers than The Biebs. However, many projections have estimated that Justin Bieber will pass up Gaga sometime this year.

Justin's boost in followers could have to do with the photos of the 'Baby' singer with his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, engaged in a steamy make-out session while on vacation in Hawaii.
