Katy Perry's Ex-Husband Russell Brand's New Brunette Lover Identified As Mexican Artist Oriela Medellin Amieiro

THE woman alleged to be Russell Brand's latest fling after his split from US pop-rocker Katy Perry has been identified as a 25-year-old Mexican artist.

The British comedian and actor - who, before his 14-month marriage to Perry, was a sex addict - was pictured kissing a brunette who spent the night at his new Los Angeles home.

She was named by The Sun newspaper in the UK as Oriela Medellin Amieiro - an artist who says, on her website, that she explores themes of sexuality, guilt and sensuality in her work.

It is believed the pair met at their yoga class but Oriela refused to comment on whether she and 36-year-old Brand were officially an item, telling the newspaper, "I am not comfortable talking about this."

Brand's divorce from the 27-year-old singer, will become official in July according to California law. He filed for divorce in late December.

On Sunday, Perry performed her new song "Part of Me" at the Grammy Awards, featuring lyrics thought to be about Brand including, "You chewed me up and spit me out / Like I was poison in your mouth."

Brand called her several times after the performance, but she ignored his calls, according to website HollywoodLife

Brand waived any claims to Perry's estimated $44 million fortune during the divorce and apparently told her he didn't want anything from her after they agreed not to sign a pre-nuptial agreement before their 2010 wedding.
