The Argentinean superstar player shatters his country’s scoring record as he delivers a gravity-defying free kick past goalkeeper Brad Guzan.

 

 

Lionel Messi put on quite a show for his fans in the United States with a gravity-defying free kick during a match against the U.S. national soccer team in Copa America semifinals.

The Argentinean soccer player landed a perfect kick to the ball when he was 25 yards from the goal, leaving goalkeeper Brad Guzan no time to react and extending the lead to 2-0.

The incredible free kick was a punch to the gut to the United States and was Messi’s 55th career international goal, breaking Gabriel Batistuta’s record as Argentina’s all-time leading scorer. It was also Messi’s fifth score in Copa America.
