Justin Bieber's wax statue at New York's Madame Tussauds museum has been permanently ruined by his own fans. Wait, what? Have the Beliebers finally seen the light? Is Bieber mania finally coming to an end? Nope, not by a long shot.
Actually, the situation is pretty much the other way around. Apparently, the Canadian heartthrob's fans had touched and groped their teenage idol's statue so many times that it had gotten disfigured. As a result, the museum's management decided to remove it from display.
"With no ropes or barriers to stop them, thousands of fans have had their photographs taken with him since then - but it has taken its toll," a museum rep told Page Six.
The damage caused to Bieber's replica was such that keeping it did not do'justice either to the star or to the attraction,' and so the management had no option but to take him off.
But, in a way it's better. The removed statue of JB was sporting his old hairdo and an update was long overdue. No date has yet been set for a new one, but the museum's general manager Bret Pidgeon did say: "This is disappointing, but hopefully we can welcome a new 'grown-up' Justin back to the attraction in the near future."
For a more perfect look of the new 'grown-up' Bieber, how about adding an ounce of New York's finest marijuana to his pockets?
