Ant-Man, the 12th Marvel film, is set to come out in July. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney, the official marketing campaign launched with a poster, a mini-trailer (pun intended) and now, a proper adult-sized trailer.
With an alluring cast that includes a ripped Paul Rudd as the hero, alongside Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas, this Marvel film is bound to catch a few eyes. And there’s also the fact that this movie has been in the works since 2006 but after various delays it is finally happening.
For those unaware of the Ant-Man’s existence in the Marvel Universe, he has the ability to shrink in scale while gaining super-strength. Scott Land is his actual name and formerly a con-artist, he comes under the tutelage of Dr. Hank Pym, played by Douglas, whose voice echoes throughout the trailer.
There’s a very Hulk-esque vibe in this introduction of the Ant-Man into the Hollywood superhero film genre.
Hopefully Paul Rudd will do justice to Ant-Man as Mark Ruffalo did to the Hulk in The Avengers – and Marvel won’t need to cast Ant-Man several times over.
