This time Miley Cyrus hosted Saturday Night Live and those who haven’t watched the episode yet would be surprised to know that there was no twerking!
Miley was not only this week’s “SNL” host, but she was also the musical guest. And one of the very best parts of the show was Miley's parody of "We Can't Stop," "We Did Stop (The Government)" which poked fun at the government shutdown while keeping the tone of the original song.
The 20-year-old entertainer played the character of Michele Bachmann, while Taran Killam appeared as John Boehner.
“This is our house. This is our rules. And we did stop (the government). Yeah, we did stop (shut it down),” Miley sings in the spoof.
Miley’s episode actually outdid last week's Tina Fey’s performance.
During her opening monologue, Cyrus said she wouldn't apologize for her VMAs performance.
"I don't apologize for my VMA performance. If I owe anyone apology, it's the people who make the bottom half of shirts,"Cyrus said.
