TMZ  reports that Mumford & Sons bass player Ted Dwane was rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate surgery. It was during that surgery that doctors discovered a blood clot in the young man’s brain.

Mumford released a statement on their website claiming, “"Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment."

Brain blood clots are extremely dangerous, and if left untreated commonly lead to strokes.

Mumford & Sons has postponed their future shows indefinitely. The band wishes Dwane a speedy recovery, as do the millions of Mumford fans worldwide.
