Netflix To Revive Hit Show 'Gilmore Girls'

Mashable has reported that the hit show has been picked up for new episodes by Netflix.

According to a breaking story on Mashable Monday afternoon, Netflix has apparently signed a deal to revive the early 2000's hit show "Gilmore Girls."

Lauren Graham

The show ran for 7 seasons on The WB and followed the coming of age of stories of mother/daughter combo Rory and Lorelei Gilmore.

"Gilmore Girls" final season aired in 2007 and is considered a disappointing end by many diehard fans.

Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino was notably absent from that final season, and many plot threads were left dangling as the series faded to black.

The series was re-released in its entirety on Netflix in 2014 and has found explosive new popularity on the streaming site.

Hints have been made that a revival movie may be in the works, and earlier this year the cast of the show reunited for the first time since 2007.

The news of a revival will be music to the ears of fans old and new and should be celebrated with a large cup of coffee at your local diner immediately.

See you at Luke's!
