The creators at Nike based the new shoe on a pair of eight-inch military boots that the company makes for the military. Moreover, the shoe is draped in a jet black sleeve that when zipped up and when unzipped, the sleeve gives way to reveal a neon green interior for some added color.

But the changes to the new shoe are not purely superficial. In fact, designers at Nike are calling this the most advanced version of the shoe yet. It is the brand's most technologically advanced and performance-driven signature Air Jordan yet! It features a Zoom Air maximizing Jordan Flight Plate, Dynamic Fit lacing system, stretch-synthetic shroud and a carbon fiber external heel counter for lightweight support.

The new shoe has been branded around the idea of ‘stealth’ and is said to have drawn inspiration from the very best of spies - James Bond.

Following the official unveiling, the Jordan Brand provides this Air Jordan XX8 designer insights video featuring Vice President of Special Projects & Design Tinker Hatfield and Jordan Brand Developer Josh Heard. The design duo breaks down the new game shoe, including the stealth-inspired design and updated performance technologies.

The Air Jordan XX8 will see an exclusive launch on February 15th in Houston, while a nationwide official release is set for February 16th.
