"Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" has never sounded so great.

British boy band One Direction made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show on Monday, and there they teamed up with the Roots to deliver an extremely unique rendition of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town."

And before you ask, no, it featured none of the traditional musical instruments that professional musicians use. As is the tradition on Fallon's pre-Christmas shows, the song's music was composed entirely of classroom instruments so often found in Santa Claus' gifts during this time of the year.

With Harry Styles on the bass drum, Niall Horan jiggling a banana shaker, Louis Tomlinson working the tambourine, Liam Payne banging some coconuts and Zayn Malik tinkering the triangle, Fallon sang the first verse. The Roots played ball as well, with a colorful xylophone and a plastic saxophone being the most prominent of their musical instruments.

And once Fallon was done with his part, 1D members contributed their vocals to this amazing jam. It goes without saying that their version of this famous Christmas song will forever be etched in our memories.
