Former multiple Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, is finally going to sit down and have his say. After years of accusations and allegations, Armstrong will sit down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey at his home in Austin, Texas.
A news releasefrom the Oprah WinfreyNetwork said the 90-minute "no-holds-barred" interview will air at 9 p.m. ET January 17 and will be simulcast on Oprah.com.
During this special episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, Armstrong will address the alleged dopingscandal and allegations that he used performance-enhancing drugs during his cycling career.
Armstrong has strongly denied the doping charges that led to him being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, but it’s been reported by the New York Times that he is considering admitting the use of PEDS.
Oprah’s relationship with Armstrong dates back to 2005 when he first appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to talk about his fight with testicular cancer and Livestrong campaign. It will be interesting to see whether Lance Armstrong accepts the doping charges that led to him being stripped off many of his titles, or whether he’ll continue holding on the fort denying those charges.
