Pac-Man Celebrates His 35th Birthday

From Japan to Great Britain, here's how people celebrated the 35th Anniversary of Pac-Man.

Hundreds of Pac-Man enthusiasts gathered in Japan this Thursday for a day full of innovative creations, to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the widely beloved computer game, Pac-Man.

In dedication to the upcoming film Pixels, people dressed in yellow surrounded the streets to present their choreographed imitation of the Pac-Man game.

Pixels, in theaters this summer, brings back arcade game characters that we’ve grown to love such as Donkey Kong and Pac-Man. The movie centers on classic arcade characters and their attack against the earth in pixilated, videogame form.

Also in celebration of the movie and anniversary, a 3D model of Pac-Man was attached to a GoPro in Great Britain, and sent up 34,949 miles high into the air.
