Prince Harry is reportedly set to appear on the next series of Top Gear.

The royal is said to be a big fan of the motoring show and wants to beat actor Tom Cruise's record for the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' in the next series.

A source said to UK newspaper The Sun: 'The prince is a massive Top Gear fan and is dying to give the Kia a spin. He loves driving and ideally he'd like to beat Tom Cruise just for the boasting rights.'

It's claimed his army pals may also feature on the show when he appears.

The source added: 'He doesn't want it to be all about him. He wants to raise awareness of the Armed Forces.'
