Rihanna’s topless billboard shocked many Dublin residents this week after appearing on Church Street in Dublin. The billboard promotes her Diamonds World Tour where she’ll make an appearance on June 21st at the Aviva Stadium in Northern Ireland. In addition to a slew of angry tweets, residents have reacted by simply stapling long dresses and other clothes onto the billboard itself.

This is not the first time Rihanna’s nakedness has upset residents of Northern Ireland. Back in 2011 she upset locals by stripping down for her “We Found Love” video shoot, and it seems many folks are still reeling from that fiasco. There wasn’t much residents could do during the photo shoot to reduce the nudity, but this time residents have taken matters into their own hands to keep Dublin streets more modest.

Unfortunately for Dubliners, these wild nude publicity stunts seem to be working in Rihanna’s favor, and her Instagram account now has over 7.5 million followers. Several celebrities including Lindsay Lohan, and most recently Amanda Bynes have also used random nude selfies as easy (and often free) promotional bait, but few have dared to take it to Rihanna’s level with full-size billboards.
Rihanna is preparing for her performance at Twickenham Stadium this weekend in London and has two tour stops before heading to Ireland. As you can see above, the original image used for the billboard covers one side of her chest with the name of her latest album, 'Unapologetic'.
