Still Reeling From Defeat, Ronda Rousey Keeps Her Promise To A Marine

The UFC star made her first public appearance after her defeat, more determined than ever to become an undisputed queen yet again.

There are few people in this world who can overpower Ronda Rousey — and after Holly Holm managed to achieve the miraculous feat last month, it appears there isn't much that could keep the UFC star down for long.

Honoring a promise she made in September, Rousey attended the U.S. Marine Corps Ball with Corporal Jarrod Haschert, who invited her to be his plus-one in a viral video.

Despite the fact that she has admitted to being incredibly sad over her stunning defeat, Rousey was eager to put the loss behind her for a while and have a genuinely good time.

“Honestly, I'd probably stay on my couch, crying and eating ice cream for like another month if he hadn't asked me," said the fighter.

Many assumed that Rousey will not attend the ball after she confirmed her intention to beat Holm — the only way she knows of to undo the damage wreaked on her reputation  in an interview earlier this month.

"I always say you have to be willing to get your heart broken. That's just what f------g happens when you try," she told ESPN. "I need to come back. I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I'm going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open? I have to f-----g do it."
